A decade ago it was The man, five years later aliens, now it's called The System but the idea is the same, a vast global conspiracy behind every part of the magical world and all hidden completely from the view of mere mortals... Or at least that's the way Nicholas sees the world. If it wasn't for the Omen he'd probably still be hiding in whatever foxhole he's crawled out of but as it stands this neurotic ex-government agent has put aside his terror to work with others on finding the cause of the shattered sky.
